Hi,

We are planning to install exchange 2010 in existing exchange 2003  envirnment. Please let me know the settings to be done to enable smooth email flow from exchange 2003 to 2010 and vice versa. I have gone through couple of blogs related to this where in they talk more into issue than things to be configured. So please help me with steps in detail.

We are using Exchange 2007 SP3 and Exchange 2010 SP2 with RU6.

I just start migrate the user from Exchange 2007 to 2010.

by New-MoveRequest -identity user - targetDatabase

1 user compliant he miss many folder and email

IN the Exchange Move Request Log said Complete and

in the Request Log, the Regular items is 12615 and 4.129 GB 

but in lower part, only see 92950 messages and 2.52 GB had been complete.

Any Ideas? not all folder, just some folder, is that Folder limitation or my powershell not correcT? 

Now, in Exchange 2007, I cannot see his mailbox in disconnect mailbox, so I need to restore from Backup as well.

Is it possible to revert outlook anywhere

I tried to enable Outlook Anywhere and disable again

but it seems that many user Outlook change to use Outlook anywhere automatic

in Following articlte said that , once you enable outlook anywhere it will put some setting in autodiscover

Once said use GPO to disbale user to user Outlook anywhere another use set-casmailbox to disable OutlookAnywhere function per user.

But I want to ask is it able to delete those setting in the Autodiscover but I had already disbale the outlook anywhere in CAS

We have a lot of Exch2010 servers.

I saw the all Exch2010 server point to same DC as Originatingserver by getexchange-server cmdlet.

If  originating DC is down, Exch2010 servers  fail over to other DC ?

I was getting this error on my 2 CAS/HT Servers running Exchange 2010 SP2 RU4v2.

I was suggested by few board members here to uprgade to RU6 or SP3.  So I did upgrade to SP3 about 2 days ago on one of my CAS/HT servers but today I see this above message again.

All users run outlook 2010 and GAL is not updated in catched mode, it is only up to date in no-cached mode. The address list is also up to date in cached mode when selecting "all users" under address book. GAL in cached mode show very old users who have been removed more than two years ago.

Could someone point me in the direction to find the cause of an email that was sent on June 3rd 2013 through our mailserver (exchange2010) to another one of our mailservers (2010) in a different site but whereby seemingly the email got stuck in the receiving mailserver for about 2 hours and 33 minutes before it got sent out to the receiving one.

I'm not very familiar with exchange 2010 troubleshooting yet so please bare with me and let me know which info you would need and I'll see if I can get to it.

From what I DID find so far:

Email entered the receiving (1st) mailsystem at - 2013/06/03 17:23:33
Email left the receiving (1st) mailsystem at - 2013/06/03 20:56:19
Mailsize was 4.3MB.

The connectorID = "Intra-Organization SMTP Send Connector".

This information I got by starting up the:
Toolbox > Mail flow tools > Tracking Log Explorer.

SMTP protocol level logging on the "Server Configuration" for the sending server & the receiving servers is set to "None".

SMTPSend logfile in:
\Exchange Server\V14\TransportRoles\Logs\ProtocolLog\SmtpSend
Only has a bit of data of the 17th of January this year.

Would there still be any way to find out why this particular email stayed in the receiving (1st) mailserver?

Advise would be appreciated.

User insists that she cannot set appointments or receive delegate approval e-mail. As an example she e-mails two room resources at the same time with an appointment request and room a sends her an approval e-mail and the pending appointment shows as tentative. Room b does not respond with an approval e-mail nor puts the appointment on the calendar tentative. Both rooms are setup EXACTLY IDENTICAL and settings are as follows:

Resource General: Resources Booking Agent enabled.

Resource Policy: Allow repeat meetings, Reject repeating..., 540, 1440, 10, 25. User is listed as delegate (as am I). Forward meeting requests to delegates is checked.

Resource Information: all checked

Resource In-Policy Requests: Specify users who are allows to submit meeting requests that will be auto approved - Selected Recipients [blank], Specify who can submit in-policy meeting requests that are subject to approval by a delegate - All Users.

Resource Out-Of-Policy requests: All Users.

Receive a popup when running Exchange 2010 SP3 update.  "The LPVERSIONING File has an Invalid Value"

The installed Language is US (1033), Windows 2008 Standard with Service Pack2, Exchange SP rollup 8

I checked the exchangesetup.txt in c:\exchangesetuplogs, found "Setup couldn't find LPVersioning.xml"

Tried SP2 same issue.

I am having a strange issue with one user who is trying to send calendar invites to an external domain that uses Groupwise.  We are running Exch 2010 and Outlook 2013.  The otherside is on Groupwise 8.

Others in our organization are able to send invitations to the groupwise domain without issue.  When this user logs into another computer with Outlook, he still gets the same result.  However it does work successfully from OWA.  I am thinking that is must be an outlook setting that is somehow stored on the exchange server.

I have tried a few things including toggling the send request as iCal to users outside my organization.  I have read about trying to send as plain text, but that doesn't appear to be an option in Outlook 2013.

Anything is appreciated.
